On June 13, 2026, the Société de développement économique de la Colombie-Britannqiue (SDÉCB) will present the very first edition of the Bon Appétit Festival at Performance Works, on Granville Island in Vancouver.
Intended as a celebration of Francophone culinary diversity, the festival will bring together chefs, artisans, restaurateurs, artists, and entrepreneurs from several Francophone cultural backgrounds, in a festive and accessible atmosphere for all.
From Côte d’Ivoire to the Maghreb, via France, Canada, and several Francophone communities around the world, the Bon Appétit Festival will offer a gourmet immersion through tastings, culinary demonstrations, live music, family activities, and cultural discoveries.
“Francophonie in British Columbia is creative, entrepreneurial, and deeply diverse. With Bon Appétit Festival, we want to create a unifying event that highlights this cultural richness through something universal: food,” says Marie-Noël Holland, Director of Entrepreneurship and Community Economic Development at SDECB.
The public will be able to discover about fifteen culinary exhibitors representing different Francophone cultures, including French, Canadian, Maghrebian, and African, attend two live culinary demonstrations honoring France and Côte d’Ivoire, enjoy live music throughout the day, and explore a gourmet market celebrating the diversity of Francophone flavors.
Two food trucks will also be present on site, while a children’s makeup area will complement the family programming. For their part, visitors will be able to eat and drink on site in a convivial and festive atmosphere.
The festival is part of the “Francophonie in motion – Vancouver 2026” initiative, led by SDÉCB, which aims to highlight the economic, cultural, and entrepreneurial dynamism of Francophonie in Western Canada as the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches.
Through this initiative, SDECB wishes to create meeting spaces, discoveries, and opportunities that highlight the talents, businesses, and Francophone communities of British Columbia and elsewhere.
