Duties

• Create stunning cakes, pastries, squares and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques and baking skills.
• Prepare ingredients and assemble baked goods with precision, ensuring high-quality food production.
• Package finished products attractively for retail or catering purposes, maintaining presentation standards.
• Assist in food preparation tasks, including mixing, cutting, and assembling ingredients for various baked items.
• Assist with baking of breads and buns when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, adhering to food safety and handling regulations.
• Support the team during catering events or restaurant service by ensuring timely delivery of desserts and baked goods.
• Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a food industry setting.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary tools such as knives.
• Familiarity with packaging methods suitable for retail or catering environments.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation.
• Excellent customer service skills to engage with clients or guests when needed.
