ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a youth project officer, you will have the opportunity to support the implementation of the CJFCB’s programming through cultural, educational, and community projects. These projects are part of the organization’s mission to promote, develop, and represent the interests of French-speaking youth aged 14 to 25 in British Columbia.
You will work closely with the Connecte program coordination team to implement a project that aims to support young people in volunteer missions that promote the creation of links between French-speaking youth in British Columbia and their community through engagement and volunteer service.
TASK DESCRIPTIONS
- Support the CJFCB in the implementation of cultural, educational, and community projects for French-speaking youth in the province;
- Support the coordination team in project management, communication, promotion, and logistics related to the project;
- Accompany young people in the formation, development, and realization of their projects;
- Support the CJFCB team in its other projects and initiatives throughout the year.
It is possible that the tasks of the employee may evolve according to the needs of the organization.
PROFILE SOUGHT
- Education and/or experience in project management, communication, cultural animation, education, or any other field related to the position;
- Excellent organizational skills, with a strong sense of planning, rigor, and attention to detail;
- Excellent relational skills and ability to collaborate within a team;

- Autonomy, initiative, versatility, and adaptability in a dynamic environment;
- Experience in intervention, support, or animation with young people aged 14-25 (an asset);
- Interest, experience, and/or knowledge of Francophone communities in a minority context (an asset).
WORKING CONDITIONS
Salary: $23-25/hour + benefits after three months (health insurance, professional training, etc.)
Duration: from August 17, 2026, to March 31, 2027, with possibility of renewal Number of hours per week: 21 hours (occasional evening and weekend work depending on events)
Workplace: Hybrid format (part-time telecommuting and part-time at the CJFCB office in Vancouver, with occasional travel in the province possible).
Prerequisites: A background check, including a check for work with vulnerable people, will be required before taking office. The costs associated with this process will be borne by the employer.
