As economic, political, and cultural landmarks are being redefined, the Francophonie is taking action.

Through The Francophonie in Motion – Vancouver 2026, the SDÉCB is deploying a series of flagship events in Vancouver that highlight the vitality of the Francophone world during a moment of exceptional visibility for the city. The Bon Appétit Festival serves as the culinary and cultural pillar of this initiative, showcasing the richness of Francophone cultures in a vibrant, warm, and unifying setting.

The Festival will bring together 14 culinary exhibitors and 2 food trucks, offering flavors, products, and gourmet discoveries in a lively atmosphere, both inside and outside of Performance Works.

Au Pralin

Au Pralin is a Vancouver-based company specializing in the artisanal production of nut spreads. Each recipe is crafted without palm oil, additives, or preservatives, using natural ingredients carefully selected for their quality and flavor. Their range goes far beyond the classics: in addition to a hazelnut and milk chocolate spread made with British Columbia hazelnuts, Au Pralin offers original flavors such as almond & popcorn chocolate, and pistachio & kataifi chocolate. Their goal is to let the nuts fully express themselves, with less sugar and no unnecessary ingredients.

Bliss

Gourmet creations made with love, designed to transform every instant into a small moment of happiness. Perfect for sharing, gifting, or simply savoring... because the most beautiful memories often begin with a sweet treat.

Breathinart

With its colorful and playful designs, Breath In Art will bring a touch of magic to the Bon Appétit Festival with its artistic face painting station for children. A festive activity designed specifically for our youngest guests… and their vivid imaginations.

Bretonne

Bretonne Crêperie takes you on a journey to Brittany with every bite. Specializing in traditional crêpes and galettes, they showcase artisanal craftsmanship and authentic recipes prepared with simple, high-quality ingredients. At the Bon Appétit Festival, expect to find the staples of Breton cuisine—from generous savory buckwheat galettes to comforting sweet crêpes—all served in a friendly atmosphere reminiscent of seaside markets. A must-stop destination for fans of French cuisine… and foodies of all kinds.

Darna Moroccan Flavours

Stuffed dates are a refined delicacy inspired by traditional Moroccan flavors. Prepared with dates, nuts, and chocolate, each piece is filled with delicate ingredients to create the perfect balance between a melting texture and a light crunch. Lightly scented with orange blossom water or enhanced with a touch of cinnamon, they offer an elegant and aromatic tasting experience.

Frencheese

It is impossible to talk about Francophone cuisine without mentioning raclette. Frencheese will introduce you to its gourmet plates of melted cheese served piping hot, in a friendly and comforting atmosphere inspired by the French and Swiss Alps.

Itri Confiserie

Itri Confiserie will showcase the refined flavors of Algerian pastry at the festival through a selection of artisanal sweets inspired by the culinary heritage of Algeria and the Maghreb. Baklawa, dziriette, and other traditional specialties await you.

La Glace

Founded in 2017, La Glace creates luxurious, artisanal French-style ice creams where every scoop is a timeless indulgence. We craft unique, rich flavors that transport you to a world of nostalgia and romantic connection. Our small-batch manufacturing process ensures that every bite offers a high-end experience, perfect for sharing with loved ones or savoring during intimate moments. Whether it’s an everyday treat or a dessert shared with someone special, La Glace is much more than just ice cream—it is a true experience.

La Poutinerie

La Poutinerie showcases a great Canadian classic: poutine. On the menu, you'll find generous portions, a rich and comforting gravy, and that simple yet incredibly effective combination that everyone loves. At the Bon Appétit Festival, it’s the perfect spot for an uncompromising gourmet break. Whether you are a purist or curious to discover new variations, La Poutinerie offers a friendly and accessible version of this iconic dish, perfect for enjoying on the go between culinary discoveries.

Mon Paris

With its two pastry shops in Vancouver, Mon Paris Pâtisserie showcases the expertise of French pastry through creations that are as elegant as they are delicious. Pastries, desserts, macarons, and refined sweets will all be featured at the Bon Appétit Festival.

Neza Coffee

Neza Coffee is a British Columbia-based social enterprise specializing in organic, fair-trade specialty coffee sourced directly from farms in Rwanda. Founded in 2021, the brand highlights high-quality coffee while supporting farming communities, particularly women. Through its "Cup of Hope" initiative, a portion of profits is dedicated to mental health support for genocide survivors. Neza Coffee is much more than just a coffee brand: it is a committed experience full of meaning.

Rochelle Foods

Rochelle Food is a small local business based in Vancouver, British Columbia, specializing in frozen savory crêpes inspired by French tradition. Handmade with quality ingredients, they combine authenticity, convenience, and local production.

Salmon n' Bannock

Salmon n' Bannock is Vancouver's only Indigenous restaurant. It offers the traditional flavors of the land and sea of our ancestors, reimagined with a modern flair. Founded in 2010 by Inez Cook of the Nuxalk First Nation, Salmon n' Bannock now serves Indigenous cuisine in Vancouver, at YVR International Airport, and through a private catering service for special events. Bannock lovers can now enjoy Salmon n' Bannock's signature bannock at home thanks to our pre-packaged bannock mix.

Tea of Light

Tea of Light offers much more than just a cup of tea: it provides an experience centered on well-being, mindfulness, and natural flavors. Their creations blend carefully selected teas and infusions with high-quality ingredients, designed to support different moments of your day; whether you need energy, relaxation, or focus. Tayybeh

Tayybeh is a Vancouver-based culinary social enterprise that showcases the richness of Syrian cuisine through authentic dishes. Founded with the mission to create professional opportunities for refugee women, Tayybeh offers a gastronomic experience that is both generous and deeply human. Every dish tells a story of family traditions and cultural heritage, featuring recipes such as kibbeh, stuffed vine leaves, and Middle Eastern desserts. Beyond the food, Tayybeh embodies a committed social project that celebrates diversity, connection, and resilience.

We strongly recommend booking your tickets in advance. The festival takes place during a period of high attendance in Vancouver due to the FIFA 2026 World Cup.

The festival will also feature an on-site bar with a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Yes. Visitors will be allowed to enter and exit the festival during the day. This allows you to enjoy Granville Island and return later to attend other activities or performances.

Yes. The festival has been designed to be accessible to all audiences, featuring activities such as children’s face painting and a friendly atmosphere throughout the day.

A changing table will also be available on-site for visitors with babies and young children.

Both. The festival will take place both inside Performance Works and in the surrounding outdoor spaces on Granville Island.

Yes. A significant portion of the festival takes place indoors, which will allow the program to proceed as planned even in the event of rain.

The festival celebrates the Francophonie in all its diversity; however, the programming and on-site interactions will take place in both French and English to ensure an accessible experience for all audiences.

Yes. The site is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and reserved parking spaces will be available directly in front of Performance Works for festival visitors.

Yes, but parking spaces on Granville Island may be limited during certain times of the day. Recommended parking locations near the island will also be suggested to visitors.

Pets are not permitted on the festival site, with the exception of certified service dogs and assistance animals.

The festival takes place at Performance Works, in the heart of Granville Island.

In June 2026, Vancouver will host the FIFA World Cup, and Granville Island will experience particularly high attendance throughout the summer. We recommend that visitors plan their travels in advance and prioritize alternative modes of transportation whenever possible.

Public Transit Granville Island is easily accessible by public transit from Downtown Vancouver, Kitsilano, Broadway, and major TransLink lines. The site is then just a few minutes away on foot.

Aquabus and False Creek Ferries One of the most pleasant ways to arrive at the festival. Maritime shuttles regularly connect Granville Island to Downtown Vancouver, Olympic Village, Yaletown, and Kitsilano throughout the day.

Cycling The site is accessible via the Seawall and downtown bike paths. A bike valet service will also be available on Granville Island during the summer of 2026.

Car and Parking Paid parking is available on Granville Island and in the surrounding areas. Due to the high traffic expected during the FIFA 2026 period, on-island parking may be limited at certain times of the day.

To facilitate your visit, Granville Island also recommends using parking lots located near the island, which are within a few minutes’ walking distance.

A recommended parking area will be available in the West 1st Avenue sector, near the Molson Canada Parking Lot, approximately a 10-to-15-minute walk from Performance Works.

Accessibility The festival site is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility will also be available directly in front of Performance Works for festival visitors.
