Sharing Experiences: Join Two Proven Entrepreneurs in Conversation!
After launching our FAM online activities in September, the SDECB is delighted to officially launch the FAM in-person meetings for the 2024-2025 season. In the business world, success is often the result of accompaniment and support. That’s why, for the October FAM meeting, we have the honor of welcoming Suzanne Jacob, our chief mentor, accompanied by Louise Turgeon, a successful entrepreneur from Vancouver. Together, they will share their rich and varied experiences, addressing the challenges, failures, and perseverance necessary to succeed as a woman in business in British Columbia. With their expertise in finance, they will also discuss the crucial importance of financial management, a pillar of any prosperous business. This intimate discussion is a unique opportunity to listen to experts, ask questions, and receive valuable advice. Don’t miss this unmissable event that marks the start of the 2024-2025 season in person! Join us on Thursday, October 3, at the new Alliance Française de Vancouver location. Come exchange with other entrepreneurs, enjoy some hors d’oeuvres, and leave reinvigorated to tackle your professional challenges with energy and determination.

Speakers: Suzanne Jacob & Louise Turgeon
Suzanne Jacob
Suzanne Jacob is a financial advisor with over 12 years of experience, specializing in life insurance, disability, and serious illness insurance. She also places great importance on retirement planning and investments. Passionate about her work, Suzanne enjoys working with each client to develop solid plans to achieve their goals. Her professional journey has not always been a 9-to-5; she had to transition from a guaranteed income and retirement job to a self-employed role, where she built her client base one client at a time. The biggest challenge of her career was this career change, which required great adaptability and determination.
Louise Turgeon
Louise Turgeon is a seasoned business leader, entrepreneur at heart, and manager of a large team. With over 40 years of experience in business, she has dedicated her career to creating systems to increase revenue and excel in various key areas such as management, operations, marketing, finance, and sales. Louise is convinced that a healthy business must excel in these different fields. Major challenges she has faced include managing a fire in her business that required a complete re-evaluation, managing two businesses while raising two young children, and starting a new career after 40 years of entrepreneurship.
