Collège Éducacentre is seeking a French teacher for federal government officials for an in-person mission in Vancouver, BC.

- Contract Dates: from May 25 to July 24, 2026, and then from August 10 to 28, 2026.
- Type of Contract:
- Contractual (independent worker)
- Full-time from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (preference for 5-day availability, but 3 days accepted)
- Location: Vancouver, BC – 842 Thurlow St
- Hourly Rate: between $36.00 and $39.00
- Requirements: knowledge and experience with PFL2 mandatory

Instructor Responsibilities :
- Adhere to and promote the mission, vision, and values of Collège Éducacentre;
- Prepare and teach classes based on the educational material provided by Collège Éducacentre and according to the needs of the students;
- Deliver individual or group language training courses based on the programs of the Canada School of Public Service, such as: PBFT, PFL2, A, B & C, or CEWP;
- Adapt to the needs of participants in language learning;
- Follow up with students as needed to ensure their learning;
- Complete and submit the various reports requested by the Management and the program team, such as attendance reports, progress reports, evaluation reports, logbook, etc.
- Allow the evaluation team to observe and assess classes in the classroom;
- Work closely with the Continuing Education and Customized Training Department of Éducacentre College to ensure the success of students in language learning.
- Other related tasks.
Required Qualifications :
- Holding a bachelor’s degree from a recognized Canadian university or an equivalency certificate awarded by an accredited institution.*
- Having experience teaching French as a second language to adults in a group or individual setting for government officials. Preferably having 500 hours of experience (minimum) in teaching since 2020.
- Experience with the programs of the Canada School of Public Service (PBFT, PFL2, A, B & C, CEWP) or a program used by a Canadian public school or a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution, or any other adult French second language teaching program.
- Being open, flexible, patient, dynamic, and having good judgment.
- Being motivated, punctual, and able to work with specific results.
- Computer knowledge (MS Office, Internet, etc.).
*If the training was taken in a foreign institution, only a document produced by an accredited organization for the recognition of diplomas and attesting to the obtaining of a Canadian equivalency will be accepted.
